A Territory to discover

Gavi is in the province of Alessandria, in the extreme south west of Piedmont, the closest point to Liguria following a bird’s eye view. It is a town of approximately 4500 inhabitants, 233m above sea level. It is the centre, the hub of the production area of Gavi Docg which includes 11 municipalities: Bosio, Capriata d’Orba, Carrosio, Francavilla Bisio, Gavi, Novi Ligure, Parodi Ligure, Pasturana, San Cristoforo, Serravalle Scrivia and Tassarolo. The centuries-old tie to the ancient Republic of Genova can still be seen even in some of the town names which to this date bear the “Ligurian” influence.
